Icelandic Highlands

Iceland's highland area is nothing short of spectacular.  It's a place where glaciers and geothermal zones coexist in the same ecosystem.  This terrestrial looking part of the world ignores a lot of geological norms and is responsible for spark-plugging the imaginations of those who wrote famous Icelandic folklore regarding giants and witches.
